We host private and corporate events from educational programs, health and wellness workshops, outdoor club activities, team building activities to outdoor weddings.   Hiking, walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing can be added to your personal event.

Educators, instructors, outdoor enthusiasts, and health professionals offer programs and workshops that will enhance your journey, empowering you with new skills.

It’s our goal, through these programs, to provide opportunities to begin living a new paradigm,  to become conscious beings, to be aware and feel our connection to the earth, to nature, to our dignity and to each other. Green Events is where you can relax in nature, spend quality time with your family and engage in outdoor, healthy activities.

The acreage is located in the Township of Ramara, where the land transitions from the Canadian Shield to the Great Lakes/St. Lawrence lowlands.   It is just east of Orillia, ON near the territory of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. This territory was called “the gathering place”. It was a traditional meeting place due to its unique geographical location with the convergence of lakes, especially the area known as The Narrows.  The Narrows is a waterway between Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching. This passageway allowed people to travel great distances throughout the Great Lakes.  It was a place where travelers rested,  meetings were held and agreements signed back in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Art & Nature

Art Worshops

Instructors, we offer an outdoor or indoor setting for your class.  Your students have the opportunity to expand their artistic knowledge and skills.  The acreage consists of forest, apple orchards and a pond.  Wonderful scenery to paint on canvas.  The workshop can be a half or full-day.  We can also facilitate art camps for kids, 1 and 2-day programs.   We offer tent camping for overnight accommodations.  Whether it’s a workshop for seasoned artists or for the beginner, Green Events is a great location to teach and work with paints, brushes and canvas.

Green Events is a perfect environment to support writers.  We are located in a rural area, offering remoteness, quiet and lots of wildlife.
Instructors, let us host your one day workshop in a place where your students get the opportunity to learn tips from you and their fellow writers and discuss issues of craft.  Participants will also benefit from quiet, undisturbed time to write, a place where they can take a break and walk in nature.   Maybe come back to their pens inspired to write.  Writers get a chance to get advice from more experienced writers or can mentor those will less experience.  Green Events is the place to network and connect with fellow writers.

Green Events is a great place for Photography Clubs to gather for workshops and field trips.  Hobbyists and amateurs have a place to practice, talk about the latest gear, swap tips and techniques, and share images and stories.  Groups arrive mid-morning, shoot for a couple of hours and then convene for lunch to socialize and talk shop.  This is the place to share, learn and develop photographic skills in an environment that is supportive.

This is the place for outdoor playing, dancing and rock and roll.  This venue is offered to people who want to gather and listen to some great folk, rock, country, bluegrass, jazz and everything in between.  It’s a place with a small community vibe, private and remote.    If you’re looking for a location to organize a gathering and you want live music, this is the place.
Musicians,  you can rent our land for your outdoor shows.

Educational Programs & Workshops
Outdoor Workshop

Outdoor leaders and facilitators, we offer our land for programs, activities and workshops for adults and children. Your activities can include nature-based identification skills, edible wilds and plant ecology, wilderness and primitive skills, animal adaptations and tracking, making bow drill fires and learning about outdoor fire safety, tracking wildlife and learning about animals’ lives and habits, to improving ecological and environmental awareness. Our location provides opportunities to explore and learn, creating experiences that deepen our understanding of nature and enhance our skills.

Here at Green Events you will find a beautiful rustic venue for your outdoor wedding. Let the setting of your outdoor ceremony inspire your desired theme and decor. Outdoor weddings are a great way of tying back to nature. We offer an array of beautiful trees, apple orchards and natural wilderness as a backdrop for your special day. We do have a marquis tent as a back up should the weather be uncooperative.

Nature Lovers, Bird Watchers & Hikers

Enjoy walking our trails and being in nature.  Feel the soft breeze of the wind, smell the forest after a rain shower, listen to the birds singing and chirping and watch for wildlife in their natural habitat.  Find a Sit Spot and allow your senses to expand or bring a journal to record what you are sensing and feeling.  Connect and talk with the massive, ancient trees.  Bring binoculars and watch the arrival of the Tundra Swans or wild turkeys looking for the last of the summer grain.  You may even see our local Moose with her calf.  Experience the quiet, solitude and stillness at Green Events.

“Green Events is a rather special place. The peace and tranquility, which is so tangible on this land, provide such fertile ground for some amazing healing work to take place.”
